There’s something so beautiful about writers who write about the stuff of their lives, what made them who they are and what they’re grateful for and disappointed by.

Sarah does just that in this book. You will be moved as you share in some of her life’s journey and gain insight into the things that helped to shape her into the passionate speaker and empowerment coach that she is today.

5 Star read! Thank you Ms Cepeda for sharing with us your very raw experience. In such a blended world where there are so many multitudes of looks associated to any one race, it is a must read! The experiences Ms Cepeda shared was so heartfelt and real. To anyone who is born to a race, has children, even friends, that do not fit the mold that society has deem befitting of that particular race, this is a must read! The greatest was watching her growth through her faith and put forth her journey of finding her own inner beauty …she did it! She found her inner beauty, full self acceptance, and blossomed into a fantastic beautiful woman that was always there. I found the read very honest, moving, spiritual and uplifting! Well done Ms Cepeda! Looking forward to more!

My review won’t be as long or perfectly worded like Mrs Beasley’s because she definitely was on point with her words!
This book was excellent and heartfelt. Reading someone else’s experiences to hopefully help another in need is awesome! Sarah Cepeda’s story was so well written and hit home, (especially knowing her family). All of the Authors were great. I recommend this book for ALL to read. And especially donating or lending it to someone who can’t afford to buy their own in hopes that it can help someone going through the same thing!

Sarah knocks it out of the park with this one! This is a must-read for anyone struggling with self esteem related issues, or in search of how they fit into this world. Furthermore, Sarah touches on how others, whether well-intentioned or with malice, can impact the way we see ourselves. As friends or family members we must be that uplifting support system that our loved ones are silently screaming within themselves for. Sarah’s story especially hits home for the adolescent to teenage girl with “hair” issues, problems with weight, or even the breakup of a family. In her journey, one can see just how triumphant it is to truly know that you matter, and that you should matter to yourself just as you are. Wonderful read!

      Hello All,
I will start by saying, this book is wonderful. It has really been helping me during this difficult time in my life. It is helping me identify my own self worth. I now have the strength and courage to not be so hard on myself and to love myself. Also to know it’s ok to make mistakes as long as you learn something from them. I haven’t been so quick to give up on myself. I am a work in progress and I will end up where I want to be.
